SEMI-AUTOMATIC SACHET FILLER

1. DESCRIPTION
The HP 200 is designed as a semi-automatic filler that can be supplied to
fill liquids or (optional) semi-viscous products. The machine is constructed
mainly in stainless steel.
2. OPERATION
This is a simple method of achieving good quality production without using a
fully automatic machine.
A tube of plastic of the required diameter is pushed up and puckered over the
filling tube. The tube is then sealed off at the bottom. The fill switch is actuated and the required quantity is
dispensed. The seal jaw moves up and closes to seal the sachet and draw it down the required length. The jaw then
opens and moves up to commence the next cycle. This process continues automatically until the tube of
plastic that has been puckered over the fill tube is used up. The machine is then stopped. Two tubes are used enabling
loading of plastic onto the spare tube while the machine is running. When the tube runs out a quick switch to the
newly loaded tube is made.

3.2. FILL SYSTEM
Constant level tank with constant time. The volume can be adjusted from 1
litre down to 50 ml.
A positive displacement fill system can also be supplied for semi-viscous
products such as yoghurt.
For free flowing powders a simple volumetric system is fitted.
3.3. MACHINE SPEED
This depends on the operator but it is possible to fill up to 600 small
sachets per hour. (This excludes the time that it takes to load the fill tube.)
An extra fill tube can be supplied for it to be loaded while the other tube is
in use.

3.5. PRODUCT SUPPLY
3.5.1. For liquid
The machine has to be supplied by gravity the outlet of which needs to be no
less than 100 mm above the inlet of the machine and a maximum of 1 metre above
the inlet.
Handi-Pak can also supply a small pump system with a tank that can stand next to
the machine and pump the product to the filling tank.
3.5.2. For semi-viscous products
Product is put into a 20 litre hopper attached to the machine and dispensed
through a piston filling unit.
