SEMI-AUTOMATIC UNIVERSAL FILLER
for
YOGHURT, JUICES AND OTHER LIQUIDS

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This machine is suitable for filling a variety of products from liquid to semi-viscous, in a variety of containers such as yoghurt cups or plastic and glass bottles. It can fill any volume up to 5 litres if the container can fit between the table and the fill nozzle. Most 5 litre bottles will fit.The machine consists of a frame with a rotating table that has four stations. One for inserting the yoghurt cup or bottle, one for filling, one for placing a foil cap on a cup and the other for sealing it when it is rotated below the sealer. The filling and sealing takes place when the limit switch is actuated. While filling and sealing takes place the filled and sealed container is removed and an empty container is put in its place. The filling is volumetric with a piston filler. The sealing is based on a time that can be set for whatever duration is required and the temperature of the sealer is controlled by a heat controller.

2. OPERATION

bulletThe filled container is removed from Station A and replaced with an empty one.
bulletThe table rotates automatically through 90 degrees.
bulletThe cycle switch is activated. The product is automatically filled at Station B.
bulletA foil cap is automatically placed on the cup.
bulletSealing of a filled and capped cup takes place at Station D.

 

3. OPTIONAL EXTRAS

Table sections with the required diameter for cups or with bottle holders can be provided to fill 175 ml, 500 ml and 1 litre tubs. Inserts can be provided to hold plastic bottles.

4. SPECIFICATIONS OF THE MACHINE

4.1. Frame

Stainless steel.

4.2. Filling

A 1 litre piston filler is fed from a 30 litre hopper. For larger containers the filling cycle is repeated to get the required volume.

4.3. Table

Two stainless steel half round sections that fit onto a flange. The table is custom made for the container. The machine is supplied with one set for the customer’s product. If other sizes are to be filled extra table halves can be supplied at extra cost.

4.4. Main Shaft

Stainless steel.

4.5. Automatic Foil Dispenser

Pre-cut caps automatically placed on container. The cap holders can be adjusted to hold a variety of cup sizes.

4.6. Sealer

Self aligning for cup sizes 175 ml, 500 ml and 1 000 ml. Actuated by 40 mm diameter air cylinder.

4.7. Electricity Required

Single phase maximum 500 watts.

4.8. Compressed Air

8 cubic litres/min at 6 BAR.

4.9. Control Panel

Housing temperature controller and multiple cam switch with necessary contactors and main switch.

4.10. Heaters

220 volt 400 watt band heater

4.11. Size

1 020 high x 1 200 wide x 400 deep.

4.12 Electricity

220 volt single phase: Maximum current 1 kw

5. SPEED OF OPERATION

600 cups per hour. For small cups 1200 per hour is possible.
